Kaffeefabrik
Please tell us a little about yourself:
I've been working in Kaffeefabrik in Vienna for almost 3 years now. The first official competition that i participated in was the Cup Tasting Championship that i won last year. I deciced to participate because I was curious to test my skills after having worked as a barista for 4 years.
Getting into the coffee industry wasn't a coincidence for me, I always thought being a barista seemed like a fun and cool job. After trying specialty coffee for the first time, I knew this was what I wanted to do.
Tasting new coffees from different varieties and processes is super exciting to me. I love to try new and unique flavors, and it makes me happy when I can share that experience with others. I also really enjoy being part of the global barista community. No matter where you go, you instantly connect with people through a shared passion.
What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?
I'm excited to visit the coffee shops in Geneva, meet and make new barista friends and eat my way through the local food spots.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I grew up in the mountains, so naturally i like winter sports - especially snowboarding. I also enjoy drawing and making art in general .
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
I would like to thank my good friend and coach Daria! You were such a big help during the preparations. Thanks for always being there and practicing with me.
Big shout-out to my friends who’ll be watching and cheering me on – especially Sujin, Michelle, Julia and Hannah!
And hi to my parents, who were very proud of me for winning a competition they’d never heard of.
Thanks for always supporting me!
