Deferred Candidacy
The Deferred Candidacy (DC) Policy protects an Eligible Candidate’s (EC) ability to participate in the World Coffee Championships. The primary reason for establishing this policy is to ensure that no competitor loses their right to compete in the World Championships for circumstances beyond their control. Under this policy, ECs who have a Qualifying Circumstance that prohibits them from participating in a World Coffee Championship may request to defer their World Championship candidacy to the following year.
If you are choosing to not compete in a world competition after winning your competition body championship, and are not interested in or eligible for Deferred Candidacy, please email info@worldcoffeeevents.org
Follow the links below to apply for deferral or to submit anonymous questions/comments.
