The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is proud to announce that World of Coffee Dubai 2026 will host the 2026 Cezve/Ibrik Championship (CIC). Taking place January 18 – 20, 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, produced by DXB Live, this event marks the first stage of the 2026 World Coffee Championships (WCC) season.  

The World Coffee Championships (WCC) is excited to announce the release of the 2026 World Latte Art Championship (WLAC) Rules and Regulations, setting the stage for the 20th edition of the competition. The 2026 WLAC will take place at World of Coffee San Diego, April 10–12, 2026, hosted at the San Diego Convention Center.

Today during SCAJ2025 World Specialty Coffee Conference, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), Exporum Inc., and the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ) formally agreed and announced that Tokyo, Japan will host World of Coffee Asia and the World Barista Championship in 2027. The signing ceremony featured SCA CEO Yannis Apostolopoulos, Exporum Inc. CEO Danny Shin, and SCAJ President, Yoshi Kato and will mark the fourth edition of World of Coffee Asia following successful events held in Busan and Jakarta. World of Coffee Tokyo 2027 will take place April 28 – May 1, 2027 at Tokyo Big Sight (3-11-1, Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) and will feature the 27th annual World Barista Championship (WBC).

The World Coffee Championships (WCC) are seeking skilled coffee enthusiasts to join as Calibration Baristas and Emcees at the 2025 World Barista Championship. Join us to showcase your expertise, contribute to the global coffee community, and help maintain the highest standards for the WCC world stage!

The Cezve/Ibrik Championship (CIC) showcases the Cezve or Ibrik preparation of brewing coffee, set in a competition format that celebrates the cultural tradition. In this championship, competitors are encouraged to bring their own style/culture to their performance to showcase what is one of the oldest forms of preparing coffee.
