Congratulations to the 2026 World Cup Tasters Champion, Le Quang Cuong (Nicky)

Le Quang Cuong (Nicky), Representing the Competition Body of Vietnam Wins in Bangkok

After three days of intense competition at World of Coffee Bangkok, Le Quang Cuong (Nicky), representing the Competition Body of Vietnam, has been crowned the 2026 World Cup Tasters Champion.

The 2026 World Cup Tasters Championship, presented by Porland, took place May 7–9 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, as part of the World of Coffee Bangkok event. 46 competitors from around the globe gathered in Thailand to put their sensory skills to the ultimate test, with each round requiring competitors to identify the odd cup among triangles of three—two identical coffees and one different—racing against the clock to top the leaderboard.

After advancing through the Preliminary Round, Quarter-Finals, and Semi-Finals, the top four cuppers met on the competition floor for the Finals. Nicky rose above the field, demonstrating exceptional speed, accuracy, and mastery of smell, taste, and attention to claim the title.

The finalists ranking for the 2026 World Cup Tasters Championship are as follows, each competitor representing their respective regional Competition Bodies:

1.         Le Quang Cuong (Nicky), representing Vietnam

2.         Catherine Queiroz, representing Switzerland

3.         Mehmet Sogan, representing United States

4.         Mizuki Tagami, representing Japan

Full final rankings are now available to view. All competition rounds can be rewatched on the World Coffee Championships' official YouTube channel. For post event coverage, follow along on social media using #BangkokWCC.

A heartfelt congratulations to Le Quang Cuong (Nicky), and to every competitor who travelled to Bangkok to showcase their skills on the world stage.
