Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am Barbora from Czech Republic, but have been living out of my country for about 6 years. Now I am 1 year and half in Switzerland, where I work at Mame since my first day I moved to Switzerland from Malta (tiny island in The Mediterranean Sea). I like to make bunnies in cappuccinos for my customers, it always creates smiles on their faces. I didnt know where is Jakarta before I won my first ever brewers competition. What is crazy for me is, that just this city has higher population, than whole Czech Republic.
What are you excited to do while you are in Jakarta?
Compete and meet new people!
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I love to do yoga and travel! I love to have friends from around the world, it helps me to stay open minded and keeps my mind curious. I love to be surronded by “new and different” from my usual confort zone.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
There is so many people! Great thanks goes to my coach Kosta, who is here with me, helping me around! Making sure, that everything is as it should be, it requires great mental capacity! And Emi, who supported with her wisdom and experience of being the world brewers champion. Just being in her presence is enriching.
