Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am 22 years old and I started working as a barista in a family café when I was 17. I discovered the world of competitions in 2022, and since then, my journey began until today. This is my first time in a world competition, and for that reason, I am very excited to represent the coffee of my country and all the work we are doing to be better at this. I am very committed to my profession and the value of being a woman in this industry. I want to put our country on the coffee map with a good presentation, quality, and excellence. Note: I was the only woman competing in the national championship of Venezuela, and I won. Hehe.
What are you excited to do while you are in Milan?
Milan is an exciting city, and I'd love to explore it. I love how diverse and different it is from my culture. I'd like to try its food and see all its architecture. The incredible Piazza del Duomo, La Scala Theater, and Piazza Mercanti. There are so many things to see. Try new coffees. So many cafes to visit! Milan is a wonderful place.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I enjoy outdoor walks and trips to the beach, as my country has beaches with incredible landscapes. And speaking of other passions, I love makeup and everything related to feminine beauty. Although coffee has become my life, there's still plenty of time for my other passion!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
Thanks especially to God, who has helped me get this far. Thanks to my family for their unconditional support; to my mom and dad for being a fundamental pillar of my energy, for fostering my faith and self-confidence. Thanks to my entire team, Claudio Taurchini, Jorge Montilla, Jackson Bolivar, Ronald Valero, and Jordan Altuve, for their excellent contributions to my research and presentation. Thank you for being a part of this and for helping me give my best in this competition.
