Please tell us a little about yourself:

At first I started my coffee journey when I was 19, since there my interest grew for coffee up until now, as more experiences I gained the more passion grew in me. I first started as a junior barista, then head barista, now as a roaster, each position I have been assigned in has taught me that a cup of coffee is not just a coffee, but the process from growing cherries in the farm, hand-to-hand selecting the beans one-by-one. The hard work that has been put in to every single cup of coffee also makes me work hard to enhance the coffee that I brew. Since then with the knowledge of the coffee industry, I have gained confidence to try explore the outside world of the coffee, hence why I have started joining competition to gain even more knowledge, experiences and wide range perspectives.

What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?

Well it's my first time in Bangkok and I'm definitely excited to try out the street foods, and explore many types of coffee brewed in Thailand. To gain new connections in the coffee industry not just in Indonesia but new perspectives of how Thai people think about coffee.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

Since I live in Bali, most weekends I like to go surf the first thing in the morning, and during weekdays since me and my fiancé both like to skate, we also go skate and if we're not tired cook together.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?

Thank you to Allah SWT for listening to my prayers and giving me the chance to reach until this point. Thank you to my parents, and to my fiancé Miana Takahashi who has always supported me and have been by my side. Thank you to the Specialty Coffee Association Indonesia, and to Baked Indonesia for supporting me to get this far. Thank you to my coach Agus Darma Putra for always helping me through training, thank you to all my friends and to the people of Indonesia.
