Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am currently working at Bonanza Coffee in Berlin, Germany, and have been here for three years. The first time I participated in a competition was two years ago, when I was invited by a colleague. I was very nervous at first, but I continued to take part because I felt that this kind of pressure was necessary for my personal growth.
Before coming to Germany, I worked for a logistics company and a specialty food store.
I fell in love with coffee after being deeply impressed by the taste of coffee at a specialty café that opened in my hometown — I was completely hooked. (Before coming to Germany)
Although I had no prior experience working in a coffee shop in Japan, after arriving in Berlin I sent my CV to a specialty coffee shop and was hired by Bonanza.
What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?
After the competition I would like to eat many type of dishes and visit a coffee farm!
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I love exploring vintage clothing and pottery, as well as making pottery!
