Please tell us a little about yourself:
I'm Cuong (Nicky) from Viet Nam. At this time, I'm the roaster and running my own business at G.O Cafe Roastery in Ho Chi Minh City. Tasting is my crucial task to check the quality of green bean and roasted bear as well as all drinks in our menu.
In my opinion: Everything begins with taste, it's the foundation of everything in coffee industry.
I participated in the first-ever cup tasters competition held in Viet Nam in 2024. When I knew that Cafe Show VietNam 2026 would hold the first VietNam National Cup Tasters
Championship (VNCT), I was so excited and realized that It's for me". And now, my dream comes true, I have a chance to represent to my nation VietNam on the world stage.
What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?
Bangkok is a beautiful city. I like the good food, rich culture and public transport - it's really useful to go around the city.
This is the third time I visit this city. The last time when I came for the cup tasters competition in 2024, I did have a wonderful experience and I believe that it will happen again in 2026.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I love traveling, camping, flying and riding on my "baby" bike CB400SF.
I love delicious food and make some breads when I have time.

I truly appreciate my mentor Mr. Hoang Van Thanh and Ms. Hong Minh. They're my teachers guided me from early days when I entered coffee industry.
Grateful to Cafe Show Viet Nam held really well the first VNCTC and supported me in Thailand.
Big thanks to my supporter Ms. Lam - big sis took care of me, set up my training session, careful and reliable.
