Please tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Charis Yfantis, and I am a 2x Greek National Latte Art Champion (2025, 2026). I proudly represented Greece on the world stage before, and competing at the highest level continues to push me to refine both my technical precision and artistic expression.
I work as a professional barista. Coffee for me is more than a profession — it’s a craft that blends discipline, creativity, and performance. What inspired me to compete was the challenge of turning a daily beverage into a form of visual storytelling. Latte art allows me to combine focus, flow, and emotion in every cup.
What are you excited to do while you are in San Diego?
I’m excited to connect with the global coffee community, exchange ideas with other competitors, and experience the local coffee culture of the host city. Events like WCC are more than competitions — they are celebrations of passion, innovation, and international friendship.
I’m also looking forward to exploring the city, discovering its specialty coffee scene, and representing Greece with pride on the world stage.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Outside of coffee, my biggest priority and source of strength is my family. I am a proud father of two amazing children, and spending quality time with them keeps me grounded and motivated. They are my daily reminder of why I push myself to grow — not only as an athlete in competition, but as a person.
I enjoy strength training and staying active, but most of all I value simple family moments, traveling together, and creating memories. Competing at the highest level is important to me, yet everything I achieve has meaning because I share it with them. My family is my balance, my inspiration, and my reason to keep striving for excellence.
