Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am a passionate coffee professional and the winner of the Greek Cezve/Ibrik Championship 2024. My journey with coffee started as a deep appreciation for its rich traditions, and over the years, it has evolved into a pursuit of both excellence and innovation.
I have been competing in coffee championships for 4 years, and the cezve/ibrik method holds a special place in my heart because of its deep cultural roots and limitless creative possibilities. Winning the Greek championship was a dream come true, and now, I am excited to represent my country on the world stage in Geneva!
What drew me to competition was the opportunity to push the boundaries of tradition while honoring the craft’s heritage. I love experimenting with new techniques and flavors to showcase how cezve/ibrik can remain relevant and exciting in today’s specialty coffee scene.
What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?
I’m excited to explore Geneva’s vibrant coffee scene and connect with fellow coffee professionals from around the world. Beyond the competition, I look forward to experiencing the city's rich history, beautiful lakeside views, and, of course, indulging in some amazing Swiss chocolate! It’s always inspiring to immerse myself in new cultures, and I can’t wait to see how Geneva’s unique atmosphere influences my coffee journey.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Outside of coffee, I’m passionate about exploring flavors, whether through culinary experiences, fine ingredients, or unique pairings that inspire my coffee creations. I also enjoy traveling to discover different coffee cultures, meeting producers, and learning more about the craft from bean to cup. When I’m not immersed in coffee, I appreciate good design, innovation in gastronomy, and sharing my expertise to help elevate the coffee industry.

A huge thank you to my mentors, colleagues, and everyone who has shared their knowledge, provided feedback, and helped refine my skills along the way. Competing at this level is never a solo effort, and I truly appreciate the encouragement from my coffee community, friends, and family. Their support has fueled my passion and drive to push the boundaries of cezve/ibrik brewing.
I’m honored to be on this journey, and I look forward to making them proud on the world stage in Geneva. Of course one love to my family that supports since day one and of course my coach Apostolis !
