Please tell us a little about yourself:

I'm from Cabo Verde MG, a small city in South Minas Gerais State in Poços de Caldas neighborhood, I'm coffee producer son and I lived all my life around of the coffee culture, since the plantation untill the industry, where I'm working now a days. This is my first time in the world championship and I joined the competition to increase my presence in the marketing, I see the competition as a chance to learn, to share what a little bit what I know and to get professional and personal opportunities besides to contribute with my region and to the Brazilian coffee culture. I am daughter's father and I love to be father and she is really young, but she is following me to everything that I'm doing including the coffee cupping.

What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?

I'm excited to adapt fast 😀, because the jet leg isn't nice to the competition, to training and I'd like to have enough time to do a fast tour in the city.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

I love to travel, to meet people, to know different cultures, I'd like to know the world, with a great coffee cup sounds as a great idea.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank?

Yes, first of all I'd like to thank God for the opportunity to be live and have the skills to join the event. I'd like to thank warmly my wife who helped me during all this journey she is my safe haven. And not less important, I'd like to thank Rafael Amaral who was the first person that helped me to start all the project.
