ONA Coffee
Please tell us a little about yourself:
I'm the head roaster for ONA Coffee and have competing, coaching and judging in coffee competitions for the past 10 years. After spending many years on bar as a barista I made the jump to the roastery and found a love for pushing quality and finding new and exciting flavour combinations and expressions in coffee.
What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?
I'm very much looking forward to escaping winter in Canberra and enjoying a beautiful summer in Geneva I'm especially looking forward to some mountain vistas throughout Switzerland after the competition.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I have always loved riding bike - mostly mountain bikes and I'm hoping to get some riding in after the competition.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
My partner Britt has not only been a huge support but has taken up the role of coach for my past 4 CIGS competitions. The whole team at ONA Coffee especially the roastery team who have stepped up to allow me the time to prepared for this competition. Project Origin and the all amazing producers who have cultivated such a great selection of coffees for me to work with. Finally the whole Australian coffee community including all the amazing people who help make our national competitions happen and have been such a big help getting me here today.
