Please tell us a little about yourself:
Hello, My Name is Dove. I am the founder of Grey Roasting Co. in Hamilton, New Zealand.
I have been competing in coffee competitions since 2015.
This coffee competition appealed to me as It allowed me to build on my sensory skills for identifying flavours and tactile experiences in a speedy way. These are extremely beneficial for my job as a roaster and for QC.
My love for coffee and coffee flavoured snacks was developed at a young age, maybe like 7.
Hence, having a career in coffee is the best decision I have ever made as it makes my customers and myself happy.
What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?
Switzerland is one of my dream destinations.
I am excited to soak up the atmosphere, meet and make new friends, taste some delicious coffee and the rare Swiss quality wines.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I love to explore new & interesting tastes and smells, walks, basketball and getting out for a long drive.

I would like to thank everyone at The New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association, the support and encouragement I have received from across New Zealand, My friends who have welcomed me into their space to train and shared their knowledge with me.
Last but not least, my partner Zoe. She has been tirelessly helping me with this competition since day one of training for Nationals.
