Common Grounds

Please tell us a little about yourself:

I work at Common Grounds, a cafe that serves specialty coffee, and various dishes from around the world. We also roasted our coffee on our own. I work as part of the marketing and creative team, handling photos, videos, copywriting, social media, and several collaborations & events.

I've been competing in the Brewers Cup for 3 years, started back in 2022 where I placed sixth, then in late 2023 I placed third, and now became the reigning champion in 2025.

I've been greatly inspired by the world & national coffee heroes through their presentations circa 2015-2019. Ever since I watched them through videos and live, I've been dreaming of performing on the stage just like them, hoping that one day, I will know them, be friends with them, and compete with them through competition, and here I am, fulfilling those dreams I've been chasing for almost a decade.

Funny story, after I graduated from high school, I got invited by the University of Padjadjaran (UNPAD), one of the renowned universities in Indonesia, to be one the students in Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture. Back then I didn't know what to pursue in the agriculture sector, then I came across specialty coffee. That's when I dig deeper into it.

Now I am also deeply interested in creative stuff, especially photography, and in uni, I joined the faculty's press and handled the video division.

That's what makes me who I am today, trying to work in a company where I can utilize both my skills and my hobby.

What are you excited to do while you are in Jakarta?

Since the WCC will be held in my home city, I actually have no particular things to do other than competing lol. But, I love running, so I guess, running in the area closer to the competition place would be awesome!
