Foyer Espresso Bar

Please tell us a little about yourself:

I work in coffee for the last 10 years. I own a coffee shop in Athens, Greece called Foyer Espresso Bar.

I have been competing myself for the last 2 years but have been part of competition teams for the last 5.

I felt that it would help me grow as a professional. And it did. But mostly through the people that I met and worked in my way here.

I can't tell if it's fun but ever since I bought my first Hario V60 11 years ago, I honestly can't remember a single day that I haven't brewed even one pourover. 2 years ago I couldn't drink coffee for about a month due to a health issue. Back then I would wake up, brew a small pourover and then throw it the sink.

I was intrigued by it when I tried for the first time a coffee that actually tasted like something. Since then I couldn't look back. I opened my coffee shop trying to get more people to experience that same feeling I did.

What are you excited to do while you are in Jakarta?

I have never been before so I am excited to even see a part of it.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

I love food, movies and football.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank?

My dedicated team from Foyer. Some are will be in Jakarta with me but some unfortunately not.
