Juel Coffee
Please tell us a little about yourself:
After starting behind the bar, like many other coffee professionals, my focus shifted more towards education, events and green coffee over the years. That’s why I founded “Juel Coffee” together with my sister Ella (German Barista Champion 2023) in 2024, so that we can share and spread our love and knowledge for coffee together. Next to co-running Juel Coffee I’m also working part time as a quality manager for a green coffee trader.
My first competition took place back in 2018 and I’ve been competing in multiple disciplines ever since. Competitions are a great opportunity and motivation to learn even more about coffee, improve your barista skills, meet and exchange with amazing people. They push you out of your comfort zone and by that fuel your personal growth.
What are you excited to do while you are in Jakarta?
Discovering the Indonesian culture and especially traditional food is something I’m looking very much forward to!
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Knitting and everything about and around food is a great passion of mine.
