Please tell us a little about yourself:
"’ve been in the coffee industry for 9 years now, and for the past 5 consecutive years, I’ve been deep in the world of coffee competitions—and here I am again! 2 years back , I took on the wild challenge of competing in two categories happening at the same time. Would I recommend it? Probably not. But did it push me mentally, physically, and intellectually in ways I never imagined? Absolutely. It was one of the craziest, most rewarding rides of my coffee journey so far.
Competing even inspired me to create and conduct countless trials and errors in brewing, which led my team and me to invent a new brewing device that we named the Binocular Dripper.
I currently work as part of the Product Research and Educational Content team at Brewing Gadgets. It keeps me on my toes with the latest industry trends and innovations while giving me the chance to share what I’ve learned with others. Before coffee, I studied Food Technology and worked in food labs for a couple of years—until I moved to Dubai, fell head over heels for coffee, and never looked back.
What are you excited to do while you are in Jakarta?
Honestly, I can’t wait to catch up with coffee friends from all over the world, make some new ones, eat some amazing food, and grab a few solid drinks. And of course, there’s the excitement of stepping on that stage and sharing it with fellow competitors and judges—it’s always. Plus I can't wait to share to the coffee people the device and coffee that we worked for.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I do love painting—my work even finds its way into exhibits from time to time. I also balance things out with some outdoor adventures, whether that’s skating or running. Keeping the energy flowing.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
Huge thanks to Bagus—my coach, and Raka for the support, and the entire Brewing Gadgets family, many to mention but especial thanks to Mr. Goutham and Mr.Franklin. To my amazing support system at Coffee Making Peace (, Rangga, Mario, and my mom—you’re everything), and Andrew plus the whole Panda Express team—thank you for making this journey not just possible, but truly fun. Couldn't have done it without all of you!
