New Orleans to Host the 2027 World Coffee Roasting Championship
The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) will host World of Coffee in New Orleans, Louisiana, from April 9–11, 2027. The event will feature the prestigious World Coffee Roasting Championship, marking a new host city for the global specialty coffee championship. Stronghold Robotics, Inc. is returning as the Qualified Production Roaster Sponsor.
This announcement marks World Coffee Roasting Championship’s return to the United States for the first time since Houston in 2025, following the upcoming 2026 championship in Brussels, Belgium. Bringing together coffee professionals from around the world, the event is set to deliver a dynamic platform for competition, collaboration, and innovation.
The World Coffee Roasting Championship is one of the industry’s most technically demanding competitions, recognizing excellence in roast profiling, precision, and sensory skill. Competitors from across the globe will take the stage to demonstrate their craft, transforming green coffee into expertly developed roast profiles under intense scrutiny.
