The SCA is looking for volunteers who would like to join us at the 2025 World Barista Championship (WBC)!
We're looking for experienced competition community members based in Italy (or nearby) to take on Volunteer roles. These roles are perfect for passionate, local, community-driven coffee people ready to step into leadership and be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that makes WBC so special.
This is your chance to help host the world’s best baristas right in your backyard and show off the talent, energy, and warmth of Italy’s specialty coffee community!
For seasoned volunteers looking contribute more time and skills by holding a lead volunteer role for the 2025 World Barista Championship in Milan. These positions require a greater time commitment but are perfect for specialty coffee professionals who are open for leadership roles and would like to be more involved with the behind-the-scenes support of the event.

Lead volunteer roles include stage/backstage assistants & managers, scorekeepers, bar managers, and head runners across the competition stages and WCC bar areas.
Lead volunteers have various benefits relative to the time commitment and skill sets required.
