Please tell us a little about yourself:

I’m a coffee roaster and founder of Mazelab in Prague. I focus on sourcing and roasting coffees that feel personal, and I also design brewing tools like the SOLO dripper. I’ve been competing for a few years. For me, it’s about understanding coffee deeper and finding my own way to express it. Coffee started small for me, but it slowly became a big part of my life.

What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?

I’m looking forward to just being in the city, walking around, trying local coffee spots and seeing how people there live with coffee in their daily routine. I also enjoy spending quiet time exploring, taking photos and noticing small moments that I can’t really plan. Those are usually the parts I remember the most.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

Outside of coffee, I’m into design, photography and building things. I like working with materials, creating objects and thinking about how people experience them. I also spend time with fish breeding, which might sound unrelated but it actually taught me a lot about patience, environment and balance. Things that connect back to coffee in many ways.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?

I would like to thank the producers I’ve worked with and close friends who supported me along the way. And the people who believed in what I do, even before I fully understood it myself.
