Please tell us a little about yourself:
I work at Kaffeeothek, a quality-focused coffee retailer in Austria with locations in Wels and Salzburg. I lead Kaffeeothe Salzburg, where I get to work closely with guests every day, brew coffee at a high level, and share what our team cares most about: quality, precision, and honest coffee knowledge.
I'm an SCA Barista Professional and I won the International Filtercoffee Challenge 2023. Cup Tasting is a discipline that fits me very naturally, because love working analytically with flavour and sensory detail. At the same time, I enjoy the energy of competition and the challenge of staying calm and focused under pressure.
On a personal level, I'm someone who likes to bring a bit of humour and ease into what I do. People who know me would probably say I usually have a smile ready, and often a joke too.
Representing Austria, Kaffeeothek, and our Salzburg team on the world stage means a lot to me.
What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?
I'd love to spend a slow coffee morning in Ari, watch the sunset by the Chao Phraya River, and take an early morning walk through Lumphini Park before breakfast.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Activities with my wife Zuzana and sports, especially Padel Tennis.
