Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am Siphosethu Luningo. a Barista, Barista Trainer, Coffee Roaster and Representative, I have been competing for 3 years.
The reason l am competing is because as a coffee roaster I have always been behind the scenes. The coffee industry in South Africa has been developing and as a proud black South African I would love to put my country on the map and grow with it and be recognized.
What are you excited to do while you visit the WCC city?
To experience the coffee culture and coffee technology of different countries and adapt the ways so I can up keep my level of skills and knowledge.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Music and Football
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?
I would love to thank my team at Origin Truth and Tribe (OTT) company who made it possible for me to get to the international stage and compete. All the love and support is truly appreciated.
And the Specialty Coffee Association of South Africa who keep presenting these kind of opportunities to South African coffee geeks.
