Jay Kim, South Korea
Coffee Monster Academy
Please tell us a little about yourself:
I run the Coffee Monster Academy in Seoul, Korea.
I have been competing in the KLAC since 2017.
During my seven attempts, I reached the finals every time.
This year, I became the champion for the first time and earned the chance to compete at the World Championship.
What are you excited to do while you are in San Diego?
During the competition, I tried to focus on doing my best with what I prepared.
After the competition, I plan to stay in San Diego for about two days and relax while looking at the ocean.
I really like pizza and hamburgers, so I’m very excited about the food.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
I like playing the guitar and singing, and I also enjoy drawing.
Most of the time, I am busy with coffee education, roasting, and selling products, so doing something in a completely different field helps me refresh and feel relaxed.
I am still a beginner, but I am also a YouTuber with about 81,000 subscribers.
Recently, I have been very interested in YouTube.
I would really appreciate it if you subscribe to Coffee Monster.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank?
I would like to thank the Coffee Monster team members and my students who always support and encourage me.
I also sincerely thank my sponsor companies.
