Please tell us a little about yourself:
Hello, my name is Gibson Abdiel Theodorus, and I’m originally from Indonesia, but I represent the United Arab Emirates. It’s been five years since I began working here, and this is my first time competing on a national stage. I’m a very competitive person, which I believe is one of the driving forces that pushes me to constantly improve and strive for more. I see every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Although my background is in culinary arts, my journey took an unexpected turn during my teenage years when I became more involved in party life, which led to me stepping away from my studies. Realizing that this path wasn’t for me, when i was on the job training in the kitchen . However, it wasn’t until I applied for a position at a commercial coffee shop back in Indonesia that I truly discovered my passion for the beverage industry. It was then that I fell in love with coffee and everything that comes with it.
