Please tell us a little about yourself:
I work at Swiss Water Decaf as the cupping lab manager, my team and QC all of the coffees we buy and produce.
I’ve been in coffee for over over 20yrs, and competing for 10yrs. I started working in a cafe when I was a teenager, and I’ve been in coffee ever since (almost). I have a BA in Anthropology with a focus on Pacific Northwest First Nations, and I took a short leave from coffee to work as an Archeologist.
I’m a competitive person, so coffee competition is a good outlet for that. I also play on a Slo Pitch (kind of like baseball) team, that’s my other competitive outlet, lol.
What are you excited to do while you are in Geneva?
I am very lucky and I get to come to Switzerland for work annually, so I’m really looking forward to showing partner around, he’s a big watch fan so I think we’ll go check out the philippe patek museum.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Slo Pitch (type of baseball), cats, gardening, going out to eat but also cooking.
