Rules & Regulations Released for the 2025 World Brewers Cup
Today, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is proud to announce updated rules & regulations for the 2025 World Brewers Cup. This is the second rules & regulations release of the 2025 World Coffee Championships (WCC) season and applies to the World Brewers Cup event which takes place at World of Coffee trade show in Jakarta, Indonesia, from May 15-17, and sanctioned Competition Body events around the world.
Rules & Regulations Released for the 2025 World Coffee Roasting Championship
The Specialty Coffee Association is delighted to release updated Rules & Regulations for the 2025 World Coffee Roasting Championship. The updated rules and scoresheets are the first of the 2025 World Coffee Championships (WCC) season, and will be used at the world finals at the Specialty Coffee Expo in Houston, TX, USA, from April 25-27.

The Specialty Coffee Association is excited to announce the launch of a new program, designed for those looking to begin the journey towards becoming a World Coffee Championships (WCC) Certified judge. The new WCC Judge Skills Program will launch this November 8-10, with a trial event hosted at Lucca Café in Curitiba, Brazil.

Final WBC Rankings Released
The second World Coffee Championship of the season has concluded, after four days of fierce competition at the World of Coffee trade show in Busan, South Korea. The full rankings for all rounds are now available at the link below, along with the update on ranking released on May 4.
Updates on the 2024 WBC Rankings
We would like to offer more details about the semi-final round of this year’s World Barista Championship, in which the competitor from Ireland, Ian Kissick, was not initially announced as a semi-finalist.
Following a comprehensive review by scorekeepers, staff, judge operation leads, and the Competition Strategic Committee, it was determined that Ian’s Round One scores put him in the Top 15 and qualified him for the Semi-Finals.
Copenhagen WCC Rules & Regulations Released
Today, the Specialty Coffee Association is releasing updated rules & regulations for the 2024 Copenhagen World Coffee Championships; including the World Latte Art Championship (WLAC), World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship (WCIGS), World Coffee Roasting Championship (WCRC), and Cezve/Ibrik Championship (CIC). These four world championships take place at World of Coffee Copenhagen, Denmark, June 27-29.
