Sotos Michael

Sotos Michael is a specialty coffee professional with more than two decades of experience in coffee and a lifelong background in hospitality. Active in the coffee industry since 2004 and immersed in specialty coffee since 2010, he has built his career around craftsmanship, sensory excellence, and education.

As Co-Owner of Kross Coffee Roasters in Greece and Kollaborative Coffee Roasters in Cyprus, Sotos has contributed significantly to the development of specialty coffee culture in both markets. His foundation extends beyond coffee: he is also a trained sommelier and has a professional background in bartending. 

A National Barista Championship finalist in 2014 and 2015, Sotos later transitioned from competitor to mentor and judge. He has trained competitors for national competitions and, for the past eight years, has been actively involved in the judging community. He is a certified judge for Barista, Brewers Cup, CIGS, and Roasting Championships.

His work reflects a lifelong dedication to quality, sensory precision, mentorship, and the continuous evolution of specialty coffee.
