Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am a full time chaos coordinator. You can find me either in training lab in Gota Coffee Experts, or visiting your roastery for a cupping to explore our arrivals at Artisan Green Bean. I compete because apparently normal hobbies weren’t stressful enough. In the hospitality industry for over 15 years which means I can do everything and nothing at the same time ;)
What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?
I’m excited to explore the coffee scene, eat (almost) everything the locals recommend, and pretend I’m “networking” while actually hunting for the best cocktail in town. Also looking forward to meeting all coffee people from around the world, exchanging ideas, and collectively surviving on caffeine, adrenaline, and questionable sleep schedules.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Outside of coffee - gym, yoga, traveling, going to concerts, and collecting books faster than I can actually read them.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?
Absolutely - my team. Competitions may look like a solo performance on stage, but behind every routine there’s a group of people giving feedback, tasting drinks, solving problems, calming panic. This journey would be impossible without their support, patience, talent, and ability to survive.
What is your favorite coffee brewing method and why?
Filter coffee, always. It’s honest, clean, and there’s nowhere to hide - a bit like competition, but with less judging and more comfort.
Besides your own competition drink, do you have a favorite cocktail?
Anything with good spirits, good company, and questionable decisions after intense days has potential.
