Please tell us a little about yourself:

I have been working in the coffee for more than 6 years now. I started as a barista in a small coffee shop and slowly climbed my way up to manager, then roaster and in 2024, I opened my own roastery « Boo! Modern Coffee ». I’ve been competing for a few years in the Belgian Aeropress championship, finishing 3rd in 2023 and 2nd in 2024. As the Belgian SCA chapter re-opened in 2025, I knew it was to take on a bigger challenge, and compete for the Belgian roaster champion tittle. Im competing as a statement that there is still room for new roasters, new approach, new visions,…

What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?

Well, to me it’s an honor to be representing Belgium in Brussels. I think it’s gonna be amazing for everyone to discover how vibrant the specialty scene has become in Brussels.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

Im really into design (I am a former graphic designer), gastronomy in general, tattoos and music (recently got into vinyls).

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?

My coach and business partner Dajo Aertsseen (Muda Coffee) who helped me prepare for the competition in a super small timeframe (1 month and a half), helped trust myself and push my limit, I’m forever grateful to him for believing in me!

And of course, my girlfriend Elif, who supported me from the start and never stopped believing in me!
