Please tell us a little about yourself:

I, Parsa Abedini, entered the coffee industry in 2012 and opened my own roastery in Istanbul, Türkiye, in 2020.

Since 2023, I have been participating in SCA competitions, which resulted in a second-place finish in the 2023 Coffee Roasting competitions and a championship in the 2025 Coffee Roasting competitions.

What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?

I’m really excited to explore the city, especially the historic places like the Grand Place. I’d also love to try local food like Belgian waffles and chocolate, walk around the streets, and experience the culture and atmosphere of Brussels. I’m particularly excited to explore Brussels’ specialty coffee culture, connect with fellow coffee professionals, and learn from the techniques and creativity showcased by top roasters.

What are your interests outside of coffee?

Culinary exploration, Beer and wine tasting, Football, Sightseeing
