Please tell us a little about yourself:

I’m the co-founder of Ripsnorter Coffee Roasters and Harvest Café & Bakery, both based in Rotterdam. My journey started in Michelin-starred restaurants, where my love for coffee quickly grew. This will be my third time competing on the World Barista Championship stage. I actually started way back in 2013 in Melbourne, let’s just say a lot of lessons were learned that year haha. What keeps me coming back is how much these competitions push you, not just to understand coffee more deeply, but to grow as a person too. It’s a constant challenge, and I love that.

What are you excited to do while you are in Milan?

Eating!

What are your interests outside of coffee?

Kiteboarding, snowboarding and being a dad!
