Please tell us a little about yourself:
I am quite a competitive person, which is what drives me in these competitions. Because of that Ive been competing almost every year since I started in coffee in 2017. It was just supposed to be a part time job next to my studies, but somehow I ended up here.
What are you excited to do while you visit Brussels?
Take in some of the inspiration of Belgian road cycling.
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Good food, physics, cycling.
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCC?
My partner, Clara. The best coffee- and life coach there is. She never lets me do anything if it's not done in a way we are proud of.
What roaster do you currently roast on and how long have you been roasting coffee for?
I'm really a roaster, but I have been playing around with a Kaffelogic the past year, and recently a Roest.
What is your favorite coffee brewing method and why?
19/20 of my brews are pour overs with four equal pours. Super easy, consistent, and can be done while half asleep.
Besides your own competition drink, do you have a favorite cocktail?
Negroni.
